SILICONE SEALANT

SANITARY  is a one component,high quality moisture curing acetic silicone sealant designed for sanitary applications where non-corrosive, moldproof and chemically resistant properties are required. It is suitable for sealing of connection joints between varieties of substrates in wet areas.

APPLICATION AREAS

l Sealing applications of joints around bathtubs,showers and sinks,

l Sealing of joints between tiles, ceramic, metal sheets and walls

l Sealing expantion joints in tile walls,

l Sealing of connection joints between walls and floors,

l Sealing of joints between glazing and supporting substrates.

INSTRUCTIONS

l Ensure that surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and grease free.

l The application temperature must be between +5°C and +40°C.

l In order to reduce the deformations of the joints, their depth must be much less than their width, minimum dimensions are 5x5 mm, for wider joints the depth should be preferably half of the width and it is adjusted by the use of a backup material.

l After the application, the sealant must be tooled with light pressure within 5 minutes to spread the material against the joint surfaces and to obtain a professional finish.

l Excess uncured sealant may be cleaned with solvent. Cured sealant can be removed barely mechanically.

l Recommended joint widths are >10 mm and < 35 mm.

SAFETY & DISPOSAL

Inhalation of the sealant vapor for a long period must be avoided. The application area must be ventilated properly. Cured silicone rubber bears no risk to health.temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Check MSDS guidelines for disposal and further information concerning safety.
